In order to begin learning 3ds Max you will need to download and install the software. Autodesk offers an educational license for their software which last for three years from the date of installation. There is no cost for this and the software is full featured and offers everything the commercial version has to offer. The only difference is that you can not use the free software for commercial use.

To install the software follow the following link. You will need to create an Autodesk account and download the version you require to match your computer.
